From October 13 to 19, 2025, a tour of the musical and poetic performance “Part of Life” will take place in several German cities – a deeply emotional stage project where poetry of the 20th–21st centuries intertwines with live jazz improvisation.

On stage: Anatoly Bely, a well-known theater and film actor, and Arnold Giskin, a talented saxophonist and composer. The inspiring combination of words and music turns each performance into a unique poetic jam session, where improvisation becomes a dialogue with the audience.

About the performance

“Part of Life” is a stage improvisation for voice and saxophone, where poetry and music are born before the eyes of the audience. The program includes works by Osip Mandelstam, Boris Pasternak, Joseph Brodsky, Vladimir Mayakovsky, as well as texts by contemporary authors – Zhenya Berkovich and Ali Khaitlina.

Each poem gains new life in the live interaction with the saxophone – the music does not illustrate the word but enters into an equal dialogue with it. This is not a concert in the usual sense, but a creative space where music and poetry mutually enhance the emotional impact.
